To activate Xfinity starter kits, you must first activate your Xfinity services on Xfinity.com. Installation and activation of the kits are included. Activating an Xfinity kit can be done in a few different ways. How you decide to proceed is entirely up to you.

- When the app has completed installation, launch it from your phone. Just log in to your Xfinity account. To activate your Xfinity starter kit, you will need to create an account if you are a new client by activating the “create account” click.
- As soon as you log in to your Xfinity account, you’ll be taken through the Gateway activation procedure. Once located in your Xfinity account, if you aren’t immediately prompted to do so, select the “Account” tab at the top left. Xfinity mobile app users can get this information under the “Overview” tab.
- Use the menu item “Devices >> Activate xFi Gateway or Modem” to select your xFi hardware.
- After launching the Xfinity app, use the camera on your phone to scan the QR code located on the back of the Xfinity modem, and then select “OK” from the confirmation window that appears.
- The QR code has successfully read when a green checkmark appears. If you don’t have a QR reader, you can also enter the 12-digit Mac number found on the back of your Xfinity box and proceed from there.
- The Xfinity app will provide instructions on how to give, such as establishing a connection and turning on the device.
- Then, give your wireless network a name and click a password before hitting the “Done” button.
- Relax for a moment as the device is configure. A few minutes may activate, but then your device will set up and activated.
- A confirmation of your WiFi name and password, as well as the “Xfinity voice number,” if you have subscribed to one, would be completed on the screen once the “Activation” process is complete. To save this data for later use, please click “Confirm and complete.”

Xfinity X1 users, this will not work for you. However, this will be useful if you are activating Xfinity devices, such as Xfinity Internet, Xfinity Voice, or Xfinity TV series.
- To using an Xfinity device, simply turn it on. The phrase “Internet or Voice or TV” could apply here.
- Launch your web browser and navigate to Xfinity.com/activate. For Xfinity mobile devices go to “Xfinity.com/mobile.” You will see an option to download and install the Xfinity app to install your device.
- To begin activating Xfinity Voice or if you are in a WiFi-ready apartment with a pre-installed xFi Gateway, click “here.”
- Sign in to your Xfinity account and confirm your information to verify your account. Your Xfinity username and password or Xfinity phone number can used. If you’re ready to move forward, click the most suitable option and hit the “Next” option.
- Once you have confirmed and verified your Xfinity account, proceed with activating your service by following the on-screen prompts.

Activate on Xfinity X1 by Xfinity
- Put your Xfinity X1 set-top box into an active state.
- By using the TV remote, you can choose the language you want to select. Hold the power button for at least ten seconds to force a restart and try again if you made a spelling or pronunciation device when choosing your language.
- Key in the last four digits of the phone number linked to your Xfinity X1 set-top box.
- Choose the “Custom name option” and provide a name for your gadget. You can also enter a device name, or select a predetermined one.
- When ready, select “OK.”
Xfinity.com To Activate, Please Call In
The following requirements must be ready for Xfinity.com/activate over the phone.
- Your Xfinity X1 set-top box’s physical location.
- The main phone number is associate with your Xfinity account.
- Final four digits of the serial number on your X1 set-top box.
