How to Fix Instagram Messages Not Showing

Not able to see Instagram messages? You may be receiving messages from your followers and friends, but you need to get them. Many things could be preventing you from seeing messages from other Instagram users. Here are some ways to get Instagram to show your messages again. Let’s go straight to the answers.

1. Check your Internet connection

Connection to the Internet is a common problem that sometimes needs to be noticed. If Instagram isn’t working, check your internet connection, including your data plan, Wi-Fi, speed, etc. Please ensure that your internet works smoothly so that Instagram can perform smoothly. 1. Open the Instagram app and hold down on it for a while to see more options.

2. Click the little I icon.

3. Now, tap Notifications.

1. Go to the Instagram app and press and hold it for a while.

3. On the App Info page, scroll down and tap Storage.

11. Enable Messages Notification (Account Level)

Like “pause all notifications,” “turn off message notifications” is an option on Instagram. If you accidentally turned this on, Instagram won’t show you any messages, not even on the DMs page. When this setting is turned on, users must do PTR (pull-to-refresh) to see messages. Let’s look at how to turn this off on your Instagram account.

Note: This setting is for the account as a whole. So, if you turned this on by accident, logging out and back in and reinstalling the App won’t help. No matter where you log in, the problem will still be there. You will need to turn this off on your account by hand.
