Install Dynamic Island on Your Android Device

install Dynamic Island

Do you own an Android device and wish to install Dynamic Island? I’ll show you how to replicate iOS’s Dynamic Island on Android using a few simple apps in this tutorial.

The newest iteration of the iPhone, the iPhone 14 Pro, includes this brand-new feature. Dynamic Island displays all recent notifications and ongoing events.

The Dynamic Island notch is an update to the standard iPhone cutout. Many were unhappy with the iPhone X’s design because of the gap.

The notch was introduced on this model iPhone for the first time. Even though the original function is exclusive to iPhones, developers have created apps that can simulate Dynamic Island on other platforms.

Dynamic Island is Available for All Android Devices.

Listed below are apps for Android devices that may be used to bring up the Dynamic Island theme in your mobile browser.

Step 1: install Dynamic Island Using DynamicSpot

Install the DynamicSpot app created by XDA Developers community member Jawonmo. To customize your Dynamic Island experience, you can choose which apps to run.

  1. You can get the DynamicSpot app from the Google Play store.
  2. To customize the apps on Dynamic Island, tap Next > Select Apps.
  3. You can choose all installed apps to show their notifications using Dynamic Island by selecting the option All.
  4. Give access to “Draw Over Other Apps.” Remember to set Notification Access.
  5. Using Pop-Up Settings, you can permit multiple notification pop-ups and alter the proportions of Dynamic Island.

The Dynamic Island will look like a tiny pill on the top of the screen. Tap and expand it for a moment to reveal the app’s notification.

Step 2: Guide to MIUI’s Dynamic Island

Can you access MIUI 13 on a Xiaomi or Redmi smartphone? Then, you may apply a skin that looks and acts like iOS’s Dynamic Island.

It’s called Grumpy UI, and it’s an MIUI theme. It provides a capsule-like. A pill-shaped notification panel sits atop the display, and when tapped, it expands into a standard-sized notification window.

Users have complained that it is unstable, suggesting it is still in a testing or beta phase. The Grumpy Theme appears to be less effective than the competing options. Even so, this is a great solution for iPhone 14 Dyanamic Island fans to enjoy their experience on Xiaomi devices.

Step 3: Android’s Dynamic Island App

Who says the iPhone version of Dynamic Island is hundreds of dollars? Dynamic Island, created by Grice Mobile, is an app for Android devices. To enable this function, tap the feature’s small, adjustable notch (which looks like a pill) to cause the banner to expand into a notification display. How to set it up is explained below.

  1. Install Grice Mobile’s Dynamic Island from the Google Play Store at no cost.
  2. After installing the app, ensure you install it and have access to everything it needs.
  3. On Android devices, you can turn on Dynamic Island by tapping the switch next to the Turn On option.
  4. You’ll find this option in the notification section of settings; tap the on/off switch to the right of Turn On. The Dynamic Island pill will then display all of the app alerts that have been received.
  5. The dimensions of the dynamic island can be changed in the View menu under Display Options.
  6. The touch screen’s gesture options are accessible via the Gesture Options panel.

Unlike iOS, where Dynamic Island disappears until you unlock your iPhone, Grice Mobile displays it even before you do that.

Step 4: Dynamic Island Edge Mask App

  1. Install the Edge Mask app from Google Play.
  2. Start using the app after installation.
  3. Activate the background operation of the app and tap notifications by tapping Allow.
  4. Tap to your tap’s menu, enable “Message,” then “Samsung Message Style,” and finally “, Toggle.”
  5. To completely black out the background, go to Edit > Background Color > Adjust Color.
  6. If you want your Dynamic Island alerts to stand out more, try changing the Message colour to white.
  7. The system notification can also be disabled. To do so, select the tab labelled “Block Double Notifications.” When you do this, Dynamic Notifications will display the new alerts. It’s not possible to receive the same notifications from multiple sources.

Aside from the apps above, a few others offer the Dynamic Island feature. However, they were developed by Chinese apps.

When it comes to trust, such apps raise red flags. As everyone knows, Chinese apps are notorious for data theft. Install it at your peril if you insist on downloading and using such apps.

These apps may not be safe, so that I won’t recommend them. Please make use of the Play Store apps I’ve recommended.

In Conclusion

One of Android OS’s strongest points is how well it accommodates emerging tech. This time it’s iOS’s Dynamic Island, which Android programmers have successfully cloned. This tutorial will show you how to install Dynamic Island on any Android device with the help of the apps listed above.
